Windows 7 & New Podcast

Well, this week marked the launch of the Windows 7 operating system, and I couldn't be happier. I've been running the OS in it's many beta forms since June, and have been singing the praises. Hell I should probabbly post my own review here. In fact, I think I will. So Expect a review worthy of quoting here in a few weeks.

Secondly, I want to announce the availability of the first episode of my Tek themed podcast. It's the first episode, so I'll update here.. of course, when it's available.

Introductions

I believe Introductions are in order. My name is Dustin Cromwell. I work as a Network Administrator for a company in Chicago IL. I have a great deal of interest in many gadgets, gizmos and other pieces of technology. I’m also an avid gamer, with a leaning towards the Xbox 360, this generation.

In this blog, I will cover much of the technology industry and game industry. I will comment on news, and try and put my own flavor on the world of technology. I will also be pairing this with a Technology themed podcast that will cover much of the same items. I appreciate many kinds of technologies, but do not  hold much blind loyalty to any corporation.  I feel that Fanboyism is inane, and can blind you from some great innovation.

My own stash of Gadgets are as follows: My cell phone is a Palm Pre. I have 2 Laptops, one is an Acer Aspire One A150, my other is an Asus G50V.  I have access to all 3 gaming consoles of the current generation, and many of past generations. Some recently retired gadgets of mine include both a 1st and 2nd generation iPod touch, an HTC Touch Pro smart phone on the Sprint Network, a 4GB 1st generation iPhone, unlocked to run on the T-Mobile USA network, and a iBook G4.

So, feel free to sit back, relax and give me some feedback. In the modern, internet world, Blogs and Podcasts are the Underground newspapers, and pirate radio shows of the 21st century.
